With Un-Cabaret, Beth took comedy out of the mainstream comedy clubs into music venues and nightclubs and helped define modern 'alternative comedy'. Now she's taking the next step by bringing her show to even more alternative spaces like yoga studios.

Let There Be Light

It's turning into that dark time of year again. Of course, there's a lot to love about the dark.
In the shadows (pain, misery, heartbreak, shame, etc.) is where you find your deepest, most personal comedy. And in the act of finding it, shedding light on it, you spontaneously, alchemically convert your un-happiness into laughs (= levity = levitation = lightness), if not for your own good at least for the enjoyment of others.
Unhappiness-to-happiness conversion is just one of the bouncy ideas in Beth's awesome new show 100% Happy 88% of the Time (see it Nov. 7&8 in Santa Monica, CA., Dec. 13, 2008 in Palm Springs, CA.).
