Say the Word was one of the first comedy storytelling shows in Los Angeles, a precursor to the current wave of shows in LA that includes The Moth, Sit 'n' Spin, Mortified, Afterbirth and many others. A spoken-word literary off-shoot of Un-Cabaret in 2000, Say the Word presented original first-person stories by some of the funniest comedy writers in the business. The show featured some amazing TV (and other) writers reading their own work at the Skirball Cultural Center in LA, where the show ran monthly for several years.
